Looking back to when we were kids
I remember the times when we would play
Not fear, not afraid to lend a hand
We were pals and together we ruled the land

You said, \"Maybe it's okay to grow up going off on different roads\"
I said, \"Sam if we go on those roads, we'll soon hit one that's closed\"
And if we hit that road that is closed
Then it's all downhill from there
So why not take the same road Cause then at least we've got each other

So of coarse we went off on separate roads
And of coarse we fell into separate holes
And only now can I see the friendship lost
Until the day we cheer it up again Sam Dost

But damn it's just not that easy
To go off on the same road
But my friends if we beat this out
You'll throw your hats up that's for sure
Cause having best friends for the rest of your life
Is better than having friends
So why not take the same road
Cause then at least we've got each other
