my bag is getting heavier with these four stones i found today.
my back bends, and my knees give, and i fall down underneath the weight.
as i sit along the shore, i wish i hadn't gone this way.
bitterness and confusion, i throw them away.
as i watch the first two skip away from me i am released.
there's no match for your love. there's no equal for your peace.
so i throw the next two high and far away.
i give them up. i leave my bag upon the shore.
